The Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience needs you!

We are currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help welcome visitors to the Experience, in addition to providing assistance and support at each location on our national tour.

What will I be asked to do as a volunteer?

There are a number of volunteer roles required for the duration of the tour.

Front of House: Welcoming and directing visitors through the first stages of their visit to the exhibition.

Operational Volunteers: Assisting with operational running of the Experience daily, including:

  • Managing the flow of visitors through the Experience galleries to ensure everyone enjoys the Experience in their own time;
  • Ensuring the welfare of visitors in the galleries, particularly those who are older and less mobile;
  • Demonstrating use of and distributing the audio guides and managing their return and cleaning;
  • Farewelling visitors and encouraging them to provide feedback and leave commemorative messages.

Mandatory requirement

To meet our insurance requirements, all volunteers are required to be at least 18 years of age.

What amount of time is required?

You will be required to cover a shift either in the morning (7:45 am – 2.30pm) or afternoon (1.15pm – 7.00pm). We welcome volunteers who wish to undertake shifts across multiple days.
